TeamPages—Social Network For Sports-minded User

TeamPages is a social network site which targets a niche market of sports-minded users who want to interact and share ideas to other people.

Most of the features of the social site have been focused on sports but there are also some tools which are commonly found in mainstream online community such as Facebook, MySpace, and Multiply.

The site offers three service packages for users including “Basic”, “Pro”, and “Ad Free” with each of these offering different features for people.

The “Basic” package is a free service which provides features such as personal page, player statistic page, personal messaging tool, limited photo sharing capability, and bulletin board for posting game schedule and sports events.

Meanwhile, “Pro” package requires annual service payment worth $53.95.  With this package, people can use the same “Basic” service with added features including unlimited photo and document posting capability, unlimited text messaging, page for displaying the team’s sponsors, and customized webpage.

The third package, the “Ad Free”, features the same interactive tools of “Pro”, the only difference is that the user’s account will have no advertisement.  This package requires an annual service fee of $65.95.

According to Teampages, there are over 10,000 teams who are using its social platform, adding the number of users is continuously on the rise.

Meanwhile, TeamPages officials recently raised a campaign to solicit funds from investors including Class Software Solutions, W Media Ventures, and Burda Digital Ventures.

The company did not disclose the exact amount it raised from its campaign but said the funds will go to develop a new interactive software and to support small sports league in the US.
