In a statement, Ubisoft North American President Laurent Detoc said that the company has decided to launch TickTock in the popular social networking site for maximum advertising exposure and to allow members to have fun while knowing as much information about the people in their friends’ list.

 “With the launching of TickTock in Facebook, we can now focus in making new sets of gaming applications for social networking sites, much like what we did with Xbox360, Playstation, and Wii, we will make the best application so that online users can enjoy while surfing their webpages in Facebook,” Detoc said.

TickTock was the company’s debut in the world of social networking. Ubisoft has launched the gaming application amid tight competition among videogame giants in making the best games for such kind of platform.

The game works by arming players with virtual bombs every time they answer correctly. Players need to answer multiple-choice questions about their friends in one minute.

Ubisoft, according to Detoc, have tapped the popular site for information and status of players and their friends. This information will then be used as materials for the questionnaires.

Meanwhile, Detoc explained that the virtual explosives, which range from air-to-air missiles, nukes, and cherry bombs, will be sent to the players’ personal ammunition depot through UbiFriends portal.

Once the players received the package, they will have one minute to defuse it by answering the question correctly.

Facebook Manager Gareth Davis said that they are very excited with the game and how the users will accept. The official has participated in the demonstration and was thrilled with the new gaming platform.

Davis said that they are expecting a huge turn out with the game as 250 million users in Facebook are very receptive with software applications in the website.
