Imeem is widely known as one of the best websites for social networking through online media, which includes creating playlists of your favorite soundtracks as well as sharing videos and photos with your network. An interesting thing about Imeem.com is the playlist, which you can create and place all the songs that interest you and be able to post your Imeem playlist in your blog sites. I enjoy the fact you can visit anybody’s member page, listen to their playlist, and either grab or share with one another soundtracks that you think fits well with your own playlist. With interesting banners and all kinds of updates being posted, you can really tell that the website is growing with more and more users expecting new and hot stuff to come in everyday. More importantly, Imeem handles not only music but photos, videos, and blog entries as well. From merely sharing music, people can write about all kinds of things about anything under the sun, whether about music, the artists, or what they had for lunch, and can share other media like videos and photos for their friends to see and comment about. I like how the website isn’t messy yet isn’t so empty at the same time; the content they put up are all relevant, interesting, and not just online ads about music and other third party content.
I can finally customize my Imeem page to whatever I want it to look like. This has really got people hooked up to it because now you can customize the entire look of your member page along with your Imeem playlist. Not only that, Imeem gives you the chance to organize and customize your dashboard in any way you want it. You can either close or add modules that you think would look good with your page such as upcoming birthdays, your current track list, check for new messages, and keep track of what your friends have been up to with their own Imeem pages. Focusing on the music quality of the website, with my internet speed the songs were able to play without much ado, giving me only 8-10 seconds of waiting time before my favorite tracks finish uploading and start to play.
Basically, Imeem has become my online iTunes. It may take a while for new members to get used to, but once you know how to upload, organize, and post the codes of your playlists, you can enjoy your favorite music anywhere you go in the internet.
