Jim Buckmaster, CEO of Craiglist, told analysts of Wall Street that the company focuses on ventures that reach out to people and users who are in search for a job or a place to call home. The company all strives to help improve the website to aid in customers who wish to sell products online. According to Buckmaster, the community does not center on profit but on service.
The community represents the gist of all classifieds revamping advertising to a whole new level. Unlike other online stores, Craigs list values simplicity in posts and ads, making them more reader-friendly and buyer-focused. Users have the liberty to also attach pictures and tag links along with their ads to gain the attention of the buyers.

Aside from advertisement, Craigs list is also known to be a community due to the varied social topics posted on its forums.
