Badoo | Share your life with people

I love blogging, and one thing that I enjoy much about the online activity is the fact that people can read and comment about my thoughts and feelings about anything under the sun, no matter how wacky and weird they may be. Apart from that, I get to keep in touch with my friends, either online or personal, by reading and leaving comments about their blogs as well. I’m just one of the millions out there who do online blogging and since then, everyone has been hooked up into the idea of meeting new people and at the same time connecting with old friendships through personalized pages and interesting entries.

Badoo for example is an online blogging website, quite similar to other websites such as Pagii and Blogger, because of the way it integrates blogging and connecting people from around the world. The splash page itself already indicates how the makers emphasize and prioritize connecting users, and they do this through blogs and sharing media like photos and videos through their personalized pages. You can meet new people or get back in touch with your old group of friends through Badoo and show them just what a person you really are through your own blog entries and how you personalize the lay-out or theme of your page. Well, as a blog site I’d give it a rating of 6 out of 10 mainly because there is still much to improve before Badoo can really become a popular blog site.

Badoo.com isn’t messy, that’s for sure. It uses interesting Java scripts and keeps their website clean and neat by using only icons and a few buttons to direct people around the website when they log in. Though this is always a good thing when it is about the way the page is arranged, Badoo fills its Member’s Page with more text and places them in a way that it looks rather primitive as compared to other blog websites. What irks me as well is the blog writing page; it’s so painfully plain. There are only two textboxes for writing the title and the entry and links to click on when you’re done writing. This made me wonder if Badoo.com concentrates more on the photo portion of the website than its main feature, which would explain the little effort they did to make the blog writing page interesting and interactive to encourage people to write entries at all.

Overall I find Badoo to be a little behind on the blog site industry since the entire website only consists of friend-finding and writing entries to make your personal page more interesting. The website’s clean, organized, I love the colored circles as their bullets, the splash screen’s great, but really is this all that Badoo.com’s made of? There isn’t even a theme to choose from or create to make your page really personalized. Hopefully by the time the makers decide to more features, they’d remember to redecorate the blog writing page and add more pictures and buttons instead of merely text and links

  4. I like blogging too but I think my blog is too messy. Too much stuff on my sidebars. I may have to rearrange my contents to make it look more presentable. Got any input for me? I will appreciate anything you guys can share with me. Have a nice day!
